One more, Maria...

Maria started slow the semifinal, she was leaded by 3 games to 1, but in the end he managed to win the first set, 6-4.

The second set was more easier than the first one (6-3), but Maria leaded 5-1 with two breaks ahead.

So, Maria did it again. She is once again in the Wimbledon final after a straight set victory against Sabine Lisicki: 6-4, 6-3 in one hour and 27 minutes. The last Grand Slam final was in 2008, when Maria won the Australian Open.

One more match and it will be a double at Wimbledon. In the final Maria will play against Petra Kvitova of Czech Republic. The overall score between Maria and Kvitova is 1-0 for Maria.

The final is scheduled on Saturday. One more, Maria...

What a day !

Maria played awsome today against Cibulkova. I don`t want to say that it was an easy match, because a quarterfinal of a Grand Slam is never easy.

She won in straight sets: 6-1, 6-1 in a match that lasted one hour. Both of the sets were at Maria`s discretion.

With 2 aces, no double-faults, 10 winners and with 85% percentage with the 1st serve, I think it`s a excellent statistic for a 1st set in a Grand Slam quarterfinal.

After this important and clear victory, Maria is in semifinals at Wimbledon and her next opponent is Sabine Lisicki of Germany. The overall score between Maria and Lisicki is 1-0 for Maria.

Another step forward

I`m so excited that Maria is in quarterfinals at Wimbledon. Maria defeated Shuai Peng in 4th Round in straight sets: 6-4, 6-2.

Great shots made by Maria during the match. Definetly she had a good day today and even if she made some double faults, overall she served really good.

She needs to serve all tournament like today if it is possible because the oppoents will be more powerfull.

After this great victory, like I said Maria is in quarterfinals where she will play either Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia or Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark.

Tough match for Round 4 !

Even if Maria won in straight sets against Zakopalova, the match was tough. Maria managed to beat Klara Zakopalova in two sets: 6-2, 6-3.

In first set, Maria had no problems (6-2), but the second one was more difficult, Zakopalova managing to take a 3-1 lead in the beginning of that set. Maria recovered the difference pretty fast and also won the second set (6-3) and the match.

In 4th Round, Maria will play against Shuai Peng of China. The overall score between Maria and Peng is 2-1 for Maria. The match is scheduled on Monday.

Maria in 3rd Round

Robson played a good tennis against Sharapova, but Maria managed to beat her in straight sets: 7-6, 6-2, like I said against a tough opponent and a crowd who encouraged Robson pretty well.

The next opponent for Maria is Klara Zakopalova in 3rd Round. The match is scheduled on Saturday. The overall score between Maria and Zakopalova is 1-0 for Zakopalova. Let`s tie this score !

It was a good Tuesday evening for Maria at Wimbledon. She won her 1st Round match against Anna Chakvetadze in straight sets: 6-2, 6-1.

It was a match at Maria`s discretion, she played really good, a match without history.

In 2nd Round, Maria will play against either Laura Robson of U.K. or Angelique Kerber of Germany.
