The BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells is Maria's next tournament. Main draw action will start next Wednesday but as Maria will be seeded she will receive a bye and play her first match on either Friday or Saturday.
The main draw will take on Monday at 15.00 local time.
Last year Maria played doubles here as she was still rehabilitating her shoulder. Maria has played Indian Wells 7 times before and her best result was taking the title in 2006. Indian Wells is a premier mandatory event played on hardcourts.
