I don`t know if Maria had a bad day or Kvitova played a very good tennis today, but to be honest I think the second one is more close to what happened in this final.
As you probably know, Maria lost the final against Kvitova in straight sets: 3-6, 4-6 after a game that lasted one hour and 25 minutes.
This final was a good chance for a double, here at Wimbledon, but Kvitova played better than Maria. That`s that.
Anyway, I`m proud to see Maria again in a Grand Slam final after more than 3 years. After this good performance, Maria will make a step forward in WTA rankings, so she will be No. 5 WTA starting Monday.
The next tournament where we can see Maria is Bank of the West Classic - Stanford, which begins on 25th of July. So hardcourt season starts !
