Game Over in Madrid

Maria was defeated by Dominika Cibulkova in 3rd Round at Mutua Madrid Open after two sets: 5-7, 4-6.

So, bad luck for Maria but we will be glad to see her at the beginning of the next week on the 8th place in WTA rankings.

Another step forward

Maria won her 2nd Rund match in Madrid against Makarova in 3 sets: 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 after one hour and 49 minutes. So, another long match for Maria after the match against Rus.

Maria is now in 3rd Round where she will play against Dominika Cibulkova from Slovakia.The overall score between Maria and Cibulkova is 2-1 for Maria.

2nd Round in Madrid

After a three sets victory against Arantxa Rus: 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, Maria is in 2nd Round at Mutua Madrilena Open.

In 2nd Round, Maria will play against Ekaterina Makarova of Russia. This will be the first match between Maria and Makarova.
