Fantastic victory for Maria at Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart over Samantha Stosur in quarters. Maria won the match in 3 sets: 6-7, 7-6, 7-5 after 3 hours and 1 minute of play ! This is the tenth victory for Maria over Stosur.
Even if the clay is not Maria`s favourite surface she had some awesome shots.With 38 unforced errors but with 43 winners, Maria reached to semifinals in Stuttgart where she will play either Angelique Kerber of Germany or Petra Kvitova of Czech Republic.
UPDATE: Maria Sharapova vs Petra Kvitova. On head to head, the score is tied at 2. Their last match was this year in semifinals at Australian Open when Maria won in 3 sets: 6-2, 3-6, 6-4.
