Maria prepares for WTA Championships in Istanbul. This is her 6th presence at this tournament. She won the WTA Championships in 2004. In final, Maria defeated Serena Williams: 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.
In 2004 the tournament was in Los Angeles at Staples Center.
