Maria has won her 2nd title of 2010 and her 22nd title at the Internationaux de Strasbourg in Strasbourg, France. Maria defeated Kristina Barrois of Germany 7-5 6-1 in 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Barrois was serving for the 1st set at 5-4 and Maria battled back by taking the next 3 games to take the set 7-5. Maria won the set on a ripping backhand return winner. The set took 47 minutes.
Maria carried the momentum from winning the1st set into the 2nd set as she dropped only 1 game as she took the match on a short backhand winner.
