Maria started slow her 2nd Round match against Caroline Garcia and lost the first set: 4-6. Even the beginning of the second set was problematic, but Maria managed to recover from 1-4 to 6-4, so five games in a row for Maria.
The last set was no problem, 6-0 for Maria, so eleven games in a row, but Garcia showed some great tennis in the first set.
So, Maria won in three sets: 4-6, 6-4, 6-0 and she is now in 3rd Round at Roland Garros, where she will play against Yung-jan Chan. The overall score between Maria and Chan is 2-0 for Maria.
