Maria is seeded No. 4 and in the 1st Round at Australian Open will play against Gisela Dulko of Argentina.
Gisela Dulko is number 67th in WTA rankings and won the last match against Maria at Wimbledon in 2009, but Maria leads the series 2-1.
If Maria wins the match against Dulko, in 2nd Round will play either Mandy Minella of Luxembourg or a qualifier.
