Straight set victory for Maria in 2nd round at China Open. She defeated Sorana Cirstea of Romania: 6-2, 6-2.
In first set, Maria made the break when the score was 1-1 and leaded 3-1 after she won her serve. At 4-2, Maria made again the break and she served to win the first set.
In the end, Maria won the first set (6-2) after 35 minutes with 9 winners, 8 unforced errors and 55% percentage at first serve.
Maria made the break in the beginning of the second set and leaded 2-0 after she won her game. Like in the first set, at 4-2 Maria made the break and she serve to win the second set and the match.
Eventually she won the second set (6-2) and the second round match against Sorana Cirstea after one hour and 18 minutes with 20 winners, 14 unforced errors, 3 aces, 2 double-faults and 55% percentage on the first serve.
In 3rd round, Maria will play against Polona Hercog of Slovenia. The slovenian player is No. 90 in WTA Rankings. This will be the first match between them.
