Maria played awsome today against Cibulkova. I don`t want to say that it was an easy match, because a quarterfinal of a Grand Slam is never easy.
She won in straight sets: 6-1, 6-1 in a match that lasted one hour. Both of the sets were at Maria`s discretion.
With 2 aces, no double-faults, 10 winners and with 85% percentage with the 1st serve, I think it`s a excellent statistic for a 1st set in a Grand Slam quarterfinal.
After this important and clear victory, Maria is in semifinals at Wimbledon and her next opponent is Sabine Lisicki of Germany. The overall score between Maria and Lisicki is 1-0 for Maria.
