That is the question because Maria is into the Olympic final after she defeated Maria Kirilenko of Russia in straight sets: 6-2, 6-3 after one hour and 29 minutes.
In first set at 3-2, Maria made the first break of the match and leaded 4-2. At 5-2, Maria made once again the break and won the first set (6-2) after 36 minutes with 7 unforced errors and 18 winners.
In second set, at 2-2 Maria lost her serve and she was leaded 2-3 by Kirilenko, but Maria rebreaked immediately and the score was 3-3. At 4-3, it was another break for Maria and she served for the match.
In the end, Maria won the second set (6-3) and the match with 19 unforced errors and 35 winners.
In Olympic final, Maria will play either Victoria Azarenka of Belarus or Serena Williams of United States.
