The draw for the Western & Southern Financial Group Women's Open in Cincinnati has been released and Maria is the #10 seed and will play Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia in the 1st round on Tuesday.
Maria has played Kuznetsova 8 times before and the series is tied 4-4, all but 1 meeting was on played on hardcourts.
The first seed Maria can meet is #7 seed Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland in the 3rd round.
This is Maria's 2nd event out of 3 on her road to the US Open and is her first appearance here in the Premier 5 event.
