Maria managed to complete the 2nd round match against Eugenie Bouchard today. She defeated the Canadian player in straight sets: 6-2, 6-4.
The play was stopped yesterday because of the rain at: 6-2, 4-2 for Maria.
After this victory, Maria is in 3rd round at Roland Garros where she will play against Jie Zheng of China. On head to head, Maria leads Zheng: 2-1. Their last match was in 2010, in Stanford where Maria won in straight sets: 6-4, 7-5.
