Maria - Queen in Stuttgart
Maria defeated Azarenka and won the trophy ! In first set, after winning her serve, Maria made the break for a 2-0 lead. At 4-1, Maria made the break again and in the end she won the first set: 6-1 after 30 minutes.
In second set, at 3-3, Maria made the break and won her serve immediately and it was 5-3. In the end, Maria won the second set: 6-4, the match after one hour and 24 minutes and the tournament !
So, a straight set victory in Stuttgart final for Maria against Victoria Azarenka: 6-1, 6-4.
Next stop, Mutua Madrid Open.

All the way, Maria !
Maria is in the final at Porsche Tennis Grand Prix after she defeated Petra Kvitova.
In first set, at 2-2, Maria made the first break of the match and won her game for a 4-2 lead. After this good moment for Maria, both of the players won their games and in the end Maria won the first set: 6-4 after 40 minutes.
At 5-5, in second set both of the players won their serve and Maria saved 8 break points. At 5-5, Maria made the break, but she lost her game and the set was decided at tie-break.
Maria won the tie-break at 3, the scond set and the match after almost 2 hours of play.
So, Maria defeated Kvitova in straight sets: 6-4, 7-6 and is in the final where she will play against Victoria Azarenka of Belarus. On head to head, Maria is leaded by Azarenka, 3-5. This will be the third final this year between Maria and Azarenka. It`s time for Maria to stop Azarenka !

Thriller
Fantastic victory for Maria at Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart over Samantha Stosur in quarters. Maria won the match in 3 sets: 6-7, 7-6, 7-5 after 3 hours and 1 minute of play ! This is the tenth victory for Maria over Stosur.
Even if the clay is not Maria`s favourite surface she had some awesome shots.With 38 unforced errors but with 43 winners, Maria reached to semifinals in Stuttgart where she will play either Angelique Kerber of Germany or Petra Kvitova of Czech Republic.
UPDATE: Maria Sharapova vs Petra Kvitova. On head to head, the score is tied at 2. Their last match was this year in semifinals at Australian Open when Maria won in 3 sets: 6-2, 3-6, 6-4.

Quarters in Stuttgart
Maria is in quarters at Porsche Tennis Grand Prix after Alize Cornet retired from the match at 6-3, 1-0 for Maria after a shoulder injury.
The match lasted only 50 minutes and it was at Maria`s discretion. In quartefinal, Maria will play either Samantha Stosur of Australia or Julia Goerges of Germany.

(my dear friends, I never actually said I cut my hair!) so for the sake of my email inbox and it`s stressful 24 hours, I would like to show you the below pictures... my hair is still long... and blonde... and well it`s pretty much the same! We did a shoot a few days ago and I sported all types of hair styles.. long and yes short (a wig!!!).

Maria & Samsung
Maria has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with Samsung Electronics Co. The agreement covers Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The deal, which started April 1 and covers Samsung products including mobile phones, tablet computers and television sets.
Samsung, the world's biggest maker of televisions and memory chips, posted record revenue last year, helped by the popularity of its Galaxy smartphones. The company, also the world's second-largest handset maker, in 2007 extended a global sponsorship agreement with the International Olympic Committee through the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro.
