Maria in the last act after Ivanovic retires

Maria is in the final act at BNP Paribas Open after her semifinal opponent retired at 6-4, 0-1 because of some back problems.
The first set was very disputed with breaks for both sides. At 5-4 for Maria, after Ivanovic held her serve, the serbian player needed  a medical time-out.

In the end, Maria won the first set: 6-4 and in the second set, after Ivanovic took the first game she decided to retire.

So, Maria is in the last act in Indian Wells where she will play against Victoria Azarenka of Belarus. A final between the No.1 seeded and No. 2 seeded.

Head to head is 4-3 for Azarenka and as you probably know the last match between them was this year at Australian Open final, where Azarenka won.
