Maria defeated Su-Wei Hsieh in straight sets: 6-1, 6-4 after one hour and 21 minutes of play and reached to 4th round at Wimbledon.
In first set, at 1-1 Maria made the break and after she saved one break point on her serve leaded by 3-1. At 3-1, Maria made the second break of the set and leaded 5-1 after she won her serve.
Maria won the first set (6-1) with a break after 30 minutes of play.
Maria started slow the second set by losing her game in debut but she made the rebreak immediately. At 2-2, Maria lost again her serve and she was leaded 2-4 after Hsieh won her serve. At 3-4, Maria made the break and tied the score at 4. At 4-4, Maria saved one break point but she managed to win her serve.
In the end, Maria won the second set (6-4) like the first one with a break and the match.
In 4th round, Maria will play against Sabine Liscki of Germany. On head to head Maria leads Lisicki 3-0 and their last match was this year at Australian Open where Maria won in 3 sets: 3-6, 6-2, 6-3. Maria and Lisicki played last year the Wimbledon semifinal when Maria won in straight sets: 6-4, 6-3.
