Maria is in quarters after she defeated Lara Arruabarrena-Vecino of Spain in straight sets: 7-5, 6-0 after one hour and 17 minutes.
As you can see the first set was more tough than the second one. Maria won the first part: 7-5 after 54 minutes !
In quarterfinals, Maria will play against Sara Errani of Italy. On head to head, Maria leads Errani: 2-0. The last match between Maria and Errani was in 2012 in Roland Garros final, where Maria won in straight sets: 6-3, 6-2.
