Maria will play the semifinal at Sony Open Tennis in Miami against Jelena Jankovic of Serbia. On head to head, Maria leads Jankovic: 6-1.
Their last match was two years ago in Cincinnati final, Maria won the final in 3 sets: 4-6, 7-6, 6-3.
The semifinal is scheduled on Thursday.
